Gold Ground Cherry Croustade

Gold ground cherries, unshelled
Butter or margarine
Brown sugar
Whole wheat flour
Oat meal flour
Pinch of salt
Pinch of nutmeg

« Preparation »
  1. Place the round gold ground cherries in the bottom of an 8" by 8" Pyrex dish.
  2. Mix the other ingredients to a coarse consistency.
  3. Spread the granular or coarse mixture onto the ground cherries.
  4. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
  5. Bake 45 mins. In the oven at 350o F.
